Inspiration.
There is no way anyone else is this scared over RUGS. I'll probably suffer several minor strokes before actually purchasing, but after going on the 7th month of living in the new house, I have got to put my foot down and just make a decision. (In a way I'm slightly relieved I didn't choose the rug I was eyeing 6 months ago, because right now if I turned around and it was there I would just puke. and curse).
I am in need of some serious pattern.
You see where this headed? Bold bold bold bold.

Horse thrifty
ART. Lets take a moment.....
hahahahahah! Makes me laugh every time. I eyed this during my thrift rounds this weekend, and for $19.99 there was absolutely no way I was going home without it. The boyfriend says it would only be badass if there were men with guns riding the horses... which would be awesome, but I think it's badass anyway. It's just perfect because it ties my entire mess of a colour scheme together. So it works. (Also please note the hairpin legged beaut of a bench we made, that I still have not posted fully)

I have dining room feeeeeeeeever. No actually, I really do have a fever. But I'm just lucky this sinus infection/head cold of mass destruction caught me on a slow weekend. But I am still very much in need of serious dining room inspiration, because ours is just sad. It's definitely another one of the very neglected spaces in our home that has gone (mostly) untouched. Poor thing! Poor us.
And so it begins, the hunt for cheap/free dining room furniture. Anything I can get my grimy fingers on. Magical, but grimy.
P.s. this table? I think I need it to live.
source, source, source.

Reidar, the new Ikea chair. She is totally made out of aluminum and doubles as an outdoor/indoor chair. Vibing industrial chic, and priced at $50. I want to meet her.

I saw Dear Genevieve's episode last week... the navy blue dining space, 26' custom built ins... The 9' quartz dining room table. YEAH, that episode. Ever since seeing that combo, I am seriously fixated on natural stone, earthy marble and similar materials, mish mashed into modern spaces. Or antique-y spaces!! Every space? My space?! I'll be on the lookout for sure!
